Just Enough Items is going to be very useful when playing with mods, as it’s common to not know how to craft a particular add-on, either because you forgot it or because the author gives little information about it. The latter case is particularly painful (and at Minecraft-France, we’re unfortunately used to it) and can ruin a modded gaming experience.
Fortunately, the JEI mod offers a grid listing all of the items and blocks in your game (mods and vanilla), from which you can get any of them, or view their craft. In addition, some items are also accompanied by a notice explaining their use. In short, Just Enough Items is a very intuitive mod that will make your life a lot easier.
