It can be a little daunting trying to figure out how to download Minecraft mods with Forge. With this guide, we will make the process easy for you! We’ll walk you through each step so that you can have your favorite mods up and running in no time.
You don’t download them “with forge” if you’re looking for mods for minecraft you can run with forge, follow these steps:
Google “minecraft forge mods” or “minecraft mods” or “forge mods for minecraft” or a similar topic
Pick a site, I prefer Wminecraft
Decide which mod(s) you want. Go to the actual page for the mod(s), and click download on the left (this will let you download the latest version)
Navigate to your .minecraft folder. For windows, press the windows button and R at the same time type %APPDATA% and you should see it.
Double click to open this folder. Check if you have a folder inside there named mods. If you do not, make one (Alternatively, if you run an installation with forge, it will make it for you.)
Open up the mods folder, no matter how it was made.
Drag downloaded mods into this folder.
While the mods folder is open, run MC, with the Forge 1.12.2 installation.
