There have been rumors circulating about the possibility of “Gotham Knights” being added to Xbox Game Pass. While nothing has been officially announced by Warner Bros. or Microsoft, many fans are hoping for this collaboration. If the game does come to Xbox Game Pass, it would provide subscribers with the opportunity to play the highly anticipated action role-playing game without an additional purchase. However, until there is an official statement, it remains uncertain whether “Gotham Knights” will be included in the Xbox Game Pass library..
Gamers are gearing up for the co-op Batman Arkham game they’ve wanted for quite a while, except Batman and Arkham won’t actually be a part of it. While Gotham’s dark hero will be missing, Gotham Knights is still shaping up to be a formidable Batman-related co-op game, but is Gotham Knights also coming to Xbox Game Pass?
Fans have received a story trailer and a gameplay trailer, which show stunning graphics and just how far along the game is in development. The team behind Gotham Knights, WB Games Montréal, tweeted confirmation that the release date would be October 25th, 2022 back in March.
While the game was set to launch on PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X & S, an announcement was made on the official Gotham Knights website that the game would only be for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X & S.
Xbox users are eagerly awaiting any news of whether they can expect to see Gotham Knights release on Game Pass, but it doesn’t seem likely.
About Gotham Knights
Batman fans might have to take a seat for this news because, in Gotham Knights, Batman and James Gordon are dead, allowing an immense criminal underworld to rise up and take over Gotham. This open-world, third-person action RPG features Batman’s “family” in an original story that isn’t part of the Arkhamverse.
Justice must now be dealt by the remaining members of the Bat-family, including Robin, Batgirl, Nightwing, and Red Hood. Together, they must rise up to protect Gotham’s innocent civilians, solve the mysteries of the darkest chapters of Gotham’s history, and fight off Gotham’s notorious villains, specifically the Court of Owls and its brainwashed minions, the Talons.
Familiar characters will make an appearance, such as Mr. Freeze and Alfred Pennyworth. A screengrab tweeted by the Gotham Knights’ Twitter account in 2020 has fans speculating that Poison Ivy will also be included in the game.
Each of the four playable characters has their own individual playstyle. Batgirl employs targeted melee attacks while hacking to get the upper hand, and Robin uses stealth to his advantage and can also teleport with the Justice League’s satellite. Nightwing leans into acrobatics for a rather dramatic fighting style, and Red Hood is a rather brutal fighter that focuses on gunplay.
Gotham Knights & Xbox Game Pass
Gamers can look forward to a Batman-filled Halloween, with Gotham Knights releasing on October 25th, 2022. The game will launch on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X & S.
Currently, Gotham Knights will not appear on Game Pass. Fans can expect it not to receive a day one Game Pass release, as it isn’t a first-party Xbox title.
There could be a chance that Microsoft and Warner Brothers partner up to add Gotham Knights to Game Pass, but that wouldn’t happen for a while. Hopefully, with time, we’ll see Gotham Knights become available on Game Pass, but until then, gamers will have to wait and see. If any announcements are made, we’ll update readers with the news.
